Since we decided that we would come up to NYC for our anniversary the one thing that I really wanted to do was try Scott Conant’s\u00a0spaghetti<\/a>\u00a0dish at Scarpetta<\/a>. \u00a0It seems like everyone just raves about this dish and I’m always seeing it come up on the Food Network. \u00a0So I figured this would be a good place to go for our Anniversary dinner so I made a reservation, a month in advance!<\/p>\n

We made our way to the restaurant from our hotel via the subway and got there a little bit early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a nice drink. \u00a0After 10 or 15 minutes we were shown to our table and had one of the best meals of our lives. \u00a0Not only was the food excelent but the service was out of this world. \u00a0We will be back again. \u00a0But enough about that, onto the food porn!<\/p>\n

Braised Short Ribs of Beef –\u00a0vegetable\u00a0& farro risotto<\/p>\n

Spaghetti – tomato & basil<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Dry Aged\u00a0Sirloin\u00a0– baby vegetables, potatoes &\u00a0pickled\u00a0shallots<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Amedei Chocolate Cake – salted caramel gelato & chocolate\u00a0butterscotch<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kelly’s Meal:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Raw Yellowtail – olio di zenzero & flaked sea salt<\/p>\n

Duck & Foie Gras Ravioli – marsala reduction<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Halibut – spring vegetables, preserved lemon & almond broth<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Coconut Panna Cotta – guava sauce & caramelized pineapple<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

They also sent us a nice surprise dessert!<\/p>\n
